It all began with a story. Maybe you met at school and felt a spark in history class. Maybe you met at work or online. Or maybe someone introduced you guys. Whatever it is, you and your loved one may benefit from services to deepen your relationship.

Couples Therapy.

Whether you’ve just started dating or have been married for 25 years, you noticed that things are just not the same as it was before. You can’t remember the last time you experienced any passion with your partner or shared a “LOL” moment together. You lay in bed wondering at night, “What happened to us?” Or maybe you think your relationship is “pretty good,” for the most part, but there still seems to be something missing and you just can’t quite pinpoint what it is yet. Truth is, relationships are complex and seeking support with couples therapy can be the key to unlocking the JOY and CONNECTION you’re looking for with your partner.

Here are some common concerns we address in couples therapy:

  • Negative Communication

  • Infidelity and Betrayal Issues

  • Adjusting to Parenthood and Children

  • Pre-Marital Therapy

  • “Roommate Syndrome”

  • Unmet Emotional Needs

  • In-Laws and Family Issues

  • Mismatched Parenting Styles

  • Blended Family

  • Intimacy Issues

  • Boundaries

  • Financial Issues

  • Life Transitions: Career, Kids, Empty Nest, Grief/Loss

What does Couples Therapy look like?

In couples therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe and non-judgmental space with your partner. I will take the time during our first session to really understand your love story and the history of your relationship. As a team, we will set goals for your relationship together and come up with a specific plan to help heal from any past hurt and reignite that spark again. If you’re looking for a therapist to agree with you and make you “right,” then I’m not the therapist for you. But, if you’re willing to do some work on yourself for the betterment of your relationship and truly want to have a happy partnership, then let’s focus on today together so that we can start creating the love story of your dreams.
